Frequently Asked Questions


You are not required to have a high school diploma to take any of the continuing education programs. 

You will have access to the Monroe College Career Services Office. This includes career coaching, resume writing assistance, access to Job Fairs and other services provided.  You will have ability to work with an career services advisor to assist you with your job search. 

You can gain college credit toward a future Monroe College degree.

You must pay the program fee before the start of your classes.  Class size is limited so your payment will secure your spot in the program. 

Your tuition will be refunded if you are not happy with the program within the first 3 weeks of a program.  We hope this will not be the case being that we are dedicated to your professional development and will do everything we can to assist you in meeting your goals. 

You are able to pay directly in this registration portal using a credit card.  If you prefer to pay with cash, please contact Krystal Bruce at kbruce@monroecollege.edu.  Arrangements will be made where you can pay directly at Monroe College's Bursar office in the the Bronx or New Rochelle campus. 

Yes, you will be responsible for purchased textbooks for your specific class.  Monroe uses ebooks which reduce the costs of books significantly. 

You will receive a certificate of completion once you successfully finish a Monroe continuing education program.  The programs provide you with thorough preparatory course work so that you should be prepared to take the certification exam.  We will support a successful outcome with free tutoring.  You should contact your professor if you are having difficulty at any point during the program.  There will be different academic benchmarks during the program which will allow you to assess your knowledge. Attendance and participation are required to help you achieve success.
