Grammar & Writing

You will be expected to write essays, content for PowerPoint slides, emails and produce other types of writing as a student or professional. Learn grammar in the context of your own writing and through real-world situations and exercises from the textbook. Learn how to correct your mistakes and improve your writing by editing and revising your papers. As an academic preparation program, research and group projects will make part of this course. The course will allow you to work by yourself and with your classmates to complete assignments.  

Optional 12-hour Assignment: 3-page research and writing assignment that will be discussed by your professor when classes start. This cannot be taken alone. It must be taken in conjunction with the main course.

Program Dates: 5/3-6/9

Days: Monday/Wednesday 

Hours/ week: 4 hours per week over 6 weeks – a total of 24 hours or 36 hours (with optional assignment)

Format: This hybrid course will meet mostly online and partly asynchronously. 85% synchronous course attendance required.

Certificates: Certificates will be emailed to you upon successful completion of the course. Register with the exact name you would like printed on the certificate. There will be no reprints for spelling errors or incomplete names.
