Program Overview
The Intensive English Program at Monroe College provides you with the language, cultural and academic study skills you require for success at the college or professional level. The program consists of 18 hours per week of classes as required for an F-1 visa. Students will take Grammar & Writing, Reading & Vocabulary, Listening & Speaking, Academic Communication, and Professional English courses. For those who have received "conditional admission" to Monroe College, this program offers a pathway to degree programs.  
 
Course format: The course will be delivered in a hybrid format and includes 9 live class sessions on Zoom and independent coursework with teacher support. While the live sessions are not mandatory, we highly recommend that you attend them.

Costs: 
Spring Term Tuition: $1250
Application Fee: $100 (For those accepting a Form I-20)
 
Materials: Students should expect to spend about $100 on textbooks.

Certificates: Certificates will be emailed to you upon successful completion of the course. Register with the exact name you would like printed on the certificate. There will be no reprints for spelling errors or incomplete names.
