English for Professional & Private Life
This course will help you strengthen your communication skills for interacting with your host family & friends and when transacting business. Our innovative course will focus on language to enhance your private life on Saturdays and professional speech on Sundays. Saturdays will target language for sharing feelings & needs, shopping & dining, communicating with your host family among other topics. The Sunday meeting will deal with business and professional situations where you will learn to negotiate, apply & interview for jobs, as well as conduct meetings.
 
 
Tuition Cost: Main course: $275  / 3 Au Pair Credits

Receipt:  When you register,  you will receive a notification on your screen verfifying that you have registered. You will NOT receive a receipt. If you need proof that you registered, please take a screenshot of the notification
 
Certificates: Certificates with course name, dates, and hours accrued will be emailed to you upon successful completion of the course: important:  Register with the exact name you would like printed on the certificate. There will be no reprints for spelling errors or incomplete names. 
Attendance PolicyStudents must attend all class meetings. In order to receive your certificate, you may only miss a maximum of 2 class meetings.
Materials: All materials will be provided by the instructor
 
Course format: The course is delivered in a hybrid format and includes live class sessions on Zoom and independent coursework with teacher support. While the live sessions are not mandatory, we highly recommend that you attend them.

Program Dates: 4/23-5/29

Days: Saturday & Sunday  
 
Time: 9:30 am – 12:30 pm eastern standard or NY time
 
Hours/credits week: 6 hours per week over 6 weeks – a total of 36 hours or 3 au pair credits.
 
 
Refund Policy: 100% refund until after the first class meeting. 0% Refund after the 2nd class meeting. Refund requests must be made by email to the director jtannenbaum@monroecollege.edu before the 2nd class meeting.
