Academic Communication Spring II 6/13 - 7/20/22

Program Overview

You will be expected to communicate in many different modes in college and your professional life. You will participate in one-on-one and discussion groups as well as engage with project teams. Learn language and communication techniques in the context of your real-world situations. This course will teach you to commmunicate verbally and in written form as learn, meeting leadership, note-taking, summarizing, outlining, and “word cloud” idea organization techniques that will support your academic and professional lives.  All student must complete and submit a capstone assignment in order to earn all credits. 

Earn up to 36 hours (3 credits) Hours: Students earn 24 hours (2 credits) for attending the course. You have the option to earn (1 credit) by writing a 3-page research assignment that will be discussed by your professor when classes start.

Days: Tuesday/Thursday
Hours/ week: 4 hours per week over 6 weeks = 36 hrs

Certificates: Certificates will be emailed to you upon successful completion of the course. Register with the exact name you would like printed on the certificate. There will be no reprints for spelling errors or incomplete names. Do NOT use the "MI" or Middle Initial area. Put all names in the 'first' and 'last' name areas. 

Refund Policy: 100% refund until after the first class meeting. 0% Refund after the 2nd class meeting. Refund requests must be made by email to the director before the 2nd class meeting.
