TOEFL iBT Preparation - 3 credits
The TOEFL test is the world’s most trusted English-language assessment. It is considered the gold standard for determining college readiness and is accepted by more than 11,000 universities and other institutions in over 150 countries This course will enable students to prepare for the TOEFL iBT exam as well as enhance their overall English language proficiency. It targets a wide range of language skills - listening comprehension, speaking, reading, and writing - and provides a wealth of practice exercises for all four sections of the test. Students will learn how to effectively navigate each section of the test, review test-taking strategies, and learn ways to manage their time during the test. The instructor will work closely with each student to help them achieve their target score.
Our accredited program has been one of the most popular in the country throughout the pandemic and our certificates, which do not stipulate mode of course delivery, have always been accepted by the au pair companies. However, we have been told that some agencies and areas will now require students to take courses on campus only. Please make sure you check with your area director before applying for our online courses. We will have live classes for students who live nearby our campus at 145 Huguenot St, New Rochelle, New York.

Course format: The course is delivered in a live online format and includes 10 mandatory live class sessions on Zoom and required independent coursework with teacher support. You may miss up to one live class meeting.

Certificates: Certificates will be emailed to you upon successfull completion of the course: important: Register with the exact name you would like printed on the certificate. Do NOT use the "MI" or Middle Initial field. Put all of your names in the first and last name fields. There will be no reprints for spelling errors or incomplete names.
Refund Policy: 100% refund until after the first class meeting. 0% Refund after the 2nd class meeting. Refund requests must be made by email to the director email@example.com before the 2nd class meeting.
1. There is NO TOEFL requirement to join this TOEFL iBT course. FYI: Students planning to apply to Monroe College for a degree are recommended to submit a score of 65 for undergraduate programs and 80 for graduate programs with a score of 80.
2. The TOEFL iBT test is not included in the course. It must be registered for and taken separately.
